This has been an especially tough year for everyone who has lost family and friends. At our AGM we will honour all the members whom we have lost.

By now most of us have seen Don Beck’s obituary in the paper.

Summer 2020 has proven to be a challenging year in every way, but with the hard work of the Board, our lawn bowling club re-opened and members are once again out enjoy both the sport and the friendship of other bowlers.

Saturday, August 29th proved a beautiful day for our second pairs’ tournament of the season, the first being held in July.

Another season of outdoor bowling came to a close, and we celebrated the winners with a year-end awards luncheon.

Friday the 13th, and the sky was threatening . . . however, we were so lucky! After setting up to bowl indoors, the sun shone and we played away on the outdoor rinks.

WVLBC is in the FINAL of the Top Ten! I’ve been a member for six years, and I can’t remember that happening before.

Saturday July 27, 2019, beautiful, generous, kind-hearted young people arrived for the 6th Annual Midsummer Greens, hosted by Progressive Vancouver and Living Space Homes.

July 15-19, 2019 West Vancouver Lawn Bowling Club hosted the Women’s BC Week.

July 12th to 14th saw the playing of the BC Provincial Men’s and Women’s Championship in New Westminster. On the men’s side, our own Tim went undefeated to win gold.

The weather was perfect! The fellowship was great! The volunteers were amazing!

June 19th was the tenth year that the President’s Cup was contested.
